Energy Efficiency and Greenhouse Gas Reduction

We take pride in our achievements in energy efficiency. Since 2021, our direct gas consumption has been 0 m³.  We have installed modern, energy-saving systems in our renovated and newly built halls that utilise ambient air temperature with heat pumps and heat exchangers.

During the operation of our factory—apart from the emissions of our small vehicle fleet—almost exclusively second and third level greenhouse gas emissions are generated, a significant portion of which comes from the production of the electricity we use.

Our parent company and the entire Shinheung group are committed to the Net Zero target for 2050, with an initial aim to source at least 60% of our energy consumption from renewable sources by 2030.

Waste Management

All waste generated at our site is collected selectively, and whichever is possible, we recycle it locally, while the rest is transported away with the help of specialised companies.

We provide regular training for our employees on proper waste management.

Water Conservation and Management

In the fall of 2024, we successfully launched our own water treatment system for industrial water use, allowing us to disconnect from the city water network. With two drilled wells, we provide the amount of water needed for product cleaning from a water base independent of the wells supplying Monor.

We make the used water reusable with the help of our own multi-stage water treatment equipment: we recycle some of it, while the remaining part is led into the factory stream in a cleaner state than legally required, under continuous monitoring, which is expected to positively impact the stream’s water quality.

The activity is supervised by the Water Authority and Hungarian experts who know the area excellently, with the hope that the increasing yield and improving water quality of the Factory Stream will provide more favourable conditions for wildlife than at present and the biodiversity of the area may flourish.

Afforestation

We will start afforesting our site as early as 2024, during which we plan to create a 1.42-hectare protective forest with the involvement of local forestry organisations. We plan to create the protective forest from elm, which was named the tree species of the year in 2023. These are native to Hungary and have good drought tolerance. In order to increase biodiversity, we would provide food for birds and deer coming here with fruit trees.

Health Preservation

On weekdays during main working hours, company doctors are available to our employees on-site, along with 0-24 nursing supervision. Additionally, we cooperate with the Benyovszki Medical Centre through occupational health services, offering free medical care to employees with more than 2 years of service under certain conditions. We believe that prevention and early diagnosis are key to maintaining health, so we want to support our employees in this as well.

Company Policy and Charity

We aim to actively participate in the life of Monor and its surrounding region. Despite challenging economic conditions than usual, in 2024, we engaged in and supported several local events and institutions with donations, a tradition we intend to uphold and strengthen.
